How to improve my action photography?
Here is a quick tip for sport/action shooters: While sticking your right eye in the viewfinder, keep the left eye open. It takes a while to get used to this but once do, you will be able to react much faster to your environment by seeing what is coming into the frame and react accordingly.
This is the best way to improve your timing when shooting fast moving subjects that are only passing into the frame for a fraction of a second.
Note: this technique works best when used with focal length between 24-70mm but I have also seen it used by bird photographers with their 400mm telephoto lenses.
Give it a try!
